Tarot, Jesus & Crystals Can Sit at the Same Table. Relax.

Let’s say it with chest: Loving Jesus and using crystals is not a spiritual crime. Reading your Bible and pulling tarot cards are not mutually exclusive. You can pray to the Creator AND burn sage, do shadow work, or lay amethyst on your forehead when the anxiety hits.

The panic over “witchcraft” didn’t fall from the sky; it was built. During the slave trade, African spiritual systems—altars, ancestor veneration, and divination—were labeled “demonic” to justify forcing a whitewashed Christianity onto people. Hollywood finished the job, turning sacred indigenous tools into horror movie tropes.

Meanwhile, your Grandma was likely using Florida Water, keeping Psalm 91 open, and reading prophetic dreams. That’s mysticism, period. We’ve been doing “African traditional” work under Christian language the whole time.

Tools are Neutral—Intent is Everything

Crystals, Tarot, and Reiki are just tools—like a microphone. You can use a mic to preach or to spread hate. The tool is neutral; your heart gives it alignment.

• Reiki: A way of channeling compassionate energy, not a rival religion.

The only “grift” is idolatry—believing the tool is more powerful than the Source. But praying with a candle lit and a tarot spread to unpack trauma? That’s just using the full toolkit God provided.

The Church gets nervous because anything “mystical” outside their box feels like a threat. But the Holy Spirit isn’t scared of a deck of cards, and Jesus won’t be dethroned by a rock.

You are allowed to be a layered believer. You can love the Lord, pull a daily card, and wear black tourmaline for grounding. God sees the heart, not the religious “policing.” If you’re seeking truth and healing, you’re in alignment.

Stop romanticizing inherited fear. You’re allowed to heal in ways your grandparents didn’t have the language for.
